सीमेंट मोर्टार में केवल उतना ही साफ़ पानी मिलाना चाहिए जिससे मिश्रण अच्छी तरह तैयार हो जाए। बहुत अधिक पानी डालने से सीमेंट की मजबूती कम हो जाती है और बाद में टाइल्स ढीली पड़ सकती हैं। वहीं बहुत कम पानी होने पर मोर्टार सही तरीके से नहीं फैलता और पकड़ कमजोर हो जाती है।
टाइल्स को सेट होने में कितना समय लगता है?
टाइल्स लगाने के बाद कम से कम 24 घंटे तक उन पर चलना नहीं चाहिए। सामान्य रूप से 24–48 घंटे बाद हल्का उपयोग किया जा सकता है, जबकि भारी फर्नीचर या अधिक भार रखने से पहले कुछ दिन इंतज़ार करना बेहतर होता है। सही समय तक सेट होने देने से टाइल्स की पकड़ मजबूत होती है और उनका जीवन बढ़ता है।
